Artists in residence Sarah and Aisha invite you to a presentation to share with you ideas around their current research project Oral Tracings. The artists will also present their individual practices and talk about how they came to collaborate on Oral Tracings. This project explores their ancestral connections to the Middle East through their families' oral narratives of migration from this region to Canada. Their 6-week residency in Jordan was used to confront these histories with the contemporary reality of the Middle East in a time of transformation.
