Sound performance and installation by Tarek Atoui
Following its launch performance in Beirut, Tarek Atoui’s Infinite Times Zero will trigger a sound installation in Amman on April 27th at Makan at 7:00 pm. This installation will terminate on May 4th at 7:00 pm when Atoui begins his second live performance in the sculpture garden of the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts.
Infinite Times Zero is a composition that addresses sound as a tangible and intangible manifestation, with its own temporality, space, and reality, which transcends human perception and location. In it, Atoui creates digital and abstract sound transcending socio-cultural references in overlapping time and space continuums that moves uninterrupted from one city to another following the trajectory of Meeting Points 6 over an eight month period.
Infinite Times Zero Supported by the Sharjah Art Foundation as part of its 2010-2011 residency program.
Makan Opening hours during the installation are Saturday - Wednesday from 2-7pm
