This is an invitation to participate in a round table brain storming session to identify key elements and interesting topics, relevant to the local art scene, from which to build a series of debates and discussions which reflect on the dynamics that played a role in the development of the visual practices in arts.
Inside-Out is the first session in a series entitled Makan's Round Table. The aim of this series is to stimulate a debate that approaches the multi-faceted story of the visual arts in Jordan, investigating the particularities, and variations of local narratives and their consequent contribution to the history of Arab art as a whole. The program is organized around moderated debates exploring particular topics that together trace various influences, informal and formal, local and regional, institutional and individual, that contribute in the mapping of visual arts in the local scene(s) of Jordan.
