chicago boys: while we were singing, they were dreaming/ led by hiwa k (iraqi kurdistan/germany)
Open Call to participate in a music and learning project
Do you want to be part of a 70s and 80s revival band?
Would you like to discover songs from that era from places like Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq or Poland? Do you want to be part of an informal study group that focuses on neoliberalism in Jordan and the region at large?
"Chicago Boys" is an informal band that revives music from the 70s and 80s while also examining the links between the history of popular music and our political and economic realities.
This call is open to musicians and on-musicians alike. To participate in "Chicago Boys" and for more information, get in touch with us by 26 October at the latest by calling us at Makan Art Space at 06-4631969 between 2 PM and 6 PM or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
This project is co-curated by Shuruq Harb and Toleen Touq. "Chicago Boys" is made possible with the support and collaboration of the following institutions: Artterritories @ Makan, Goethe Institut, 7iber, Garage 3azef and Aramram.
