As part of our six-week residency at Makan, we are working on an installation that explores our ancestral connection to the Middle East. Our starting point is audio recordings of our family and the oral history of their individual migrations from the Middle East to Canada. In Amman, Jordan we are confronting these oral histories with the contemporary reality of the Middle East in a time of transformation.
